USAGE:

Apply evenly and in sufficient quantity.
Is recommended to use 5% of activator.
Pasting can only be rashly after 15 minutes of application and within 30-40 minutes.
The adhesion is good after 8 hours and complete after 48 hours.

POSSIBLE PROBLEM: During  winter  you may find that Plastek, once stretched, it dries by solvent evaporation as always, but then you feel cold at touch and wet on the surface as condensation and it do not sticky anymore.

SOLUTION: The adhesive  Plastek 82  behavior described above is normal in winter period. With low temperatures the solvent in the adhesive has difficulty to evaporate and draws on its surface moisture in the air. So we feel the cold when we touch and dry on the surface, but the adhesive layer is not completely dry because the veil of condensation on the surface prevents the complete evaporation of the solvent. The result is that the adhesive looks dry but it is not completely and therefore the adhesive properties are inferior to the standard. To overcome this issue, it’s sufficient to operate in an environment heated  at least at 15 ° C and putting the pieces of adhesive coated with glue in an oven at approximately 50 °C for a few minutes before reactivation with infrared rays. This is the system universally adopted to solve the issue during the winter period.

HOW TO REMOVE THE GLUE: The polyurethane glue is difficult to remove, especially if it was mixed with the activator. However there is a solvent (TRIMASTEK) that facilitates the operation by softening the glue. It must also mechanically sand or rub with the rubber to remove residues.
